Our recipes are formulated to exclude selected common allergens, but they're not veterinary hypoallergenic recipes or hydrolysed diets. Most dogs don’t! The majority of pooches can happily enjoy a varied, balanced diet. True food intolerances or sensitivities are very rare, but if your dog does react to certain ingredients, it’s best to choose a recipe that avoids those specific triggers, rather than relying only on the label “hypoallergenic.”

No, they’re not the same. Hypoallergenic dog food (should) mean the recipe avoids common allergens (like soy, dairy, egg, or red meat), while grain-free dog food simply means it doesn’t contain grains. A recipe can be both, but grain-free doesn’t automatically make it hypoallergenic.

“Hypoallergenic” is a phrase we’re not huge fans of as it doesn’t have a set definition and is often used as more of a marketing slogan than a guarantee. What it’s generally meant to describe is dog food made without common triggers for sensitive tums. For us, that means avoiding gluten, soy, dairy, egg, and red meat. And for pups who need something extra gentle, we also offer single-source protein wet food to make digestion that little bit easier.

Sharp eyes! We use inverted commas because technically, anything could trigger an allergy. There’s no one-size-fits-all "hypoallergenic dog food" or “hypoallergenic cat food.” Instead, it’s about carefully checking the ingredients to make sure your pet avoids what upsets their tummy.
