First things first, meat content and analytical protein content are two different things, meat content refers to the total amount of meat used, whereas protein percentage (analytical constituents) measures the actual protein level in the final food. Because wet food contains more moisture (around 82%), its protein percentage appears lower on packaging. When moisture is removed for a fair comparison, our wet food actually has the highest protein percentage on a dry matter basis - around 50%. However, our dry food is still packed full of protein, at around 42%. The very minimum protein content for a cat according to FEDIAF is 26%, and you need to ensure this is from animal protein rather than plant proteins. In terms of meat content, our recipes range from 60-77% high-quality meat, providing a rich source of amino acids to support strong muscles and overall health.
