FAQ's

Are Scrumbles cat food tins grain-free and hypoallergenic?

Yes! All our wet cat food recipes served in tins are naturally grain-free and gluten-free, making them a gentle choice for cats with sensitive tummies. We skip common allergens like dairy, soy, egg, and red meat, so you can serve them with confidence. Plus, every recipe is nutritionally complete and balanced for adult cats.

What does slippery elm do for digestive health?

Slippery elm is a plant-based ingredient that comes from the inner bark of the slippery elm tree. It naturally contains fibre and mucilage, a substance that forms a gel-like texture when mixed with water. It's one of the carefully selected ingredients you'll find in some of our Scrumbles recipes!

Do your recipes include legumes like peas or pea protein?

No. We avoid legumes like peas and pea protein, which can be hard to digest and are often used to inflate overall protein levels. We stick to responsibly sourced meat and fish for our carnivorous kitties for maximum animal protein, providing all of the essential amino acids cats need to thrive.. Keeping things simple and easy to digest, with natural prebiotics for gut health and no fillers or added sugar.

Is this recipe suitable for kittens?

Absolutely! Most our recipes are suitable for all cat breeds and life stages over 8 weeks, excluding our Sensitive+ and Salmon dry cat food. You'll just need to make sure you adjust their feeding quantity accordingly. To help do this, check out our handy feeding calculator above to give you a rough guide.

Are the Scrumbles wet cat food tins recyclable?

Yes! Our wet cat food tins are fully recyclable. The cardboard outer box is FSC card and can be recycled with your card at home. The tins and lids are also fully recyclable with your metals. Just give the tins a quick rinse and pop them in your household recycling. You can also check out RecyleNow for your local recycling points.

Is this shredded chicken breast cat food complete or a topper?

Yes - unlike other shredded chicken breast tins, this recipe is a complete and balanced meal, not just a topper. If you've got a bit of a fancy cat on your hands, this recipe's for them. Each tin is packed full of 100% chicken breast, gently shredded and served in a rich savoury broth with added vitamins and minerals providing all the essential nutrients your cat needs in every tin. No added sugar or salt, just rich chicken-y goodness. Plus, every tin is enriched with added prebiotics for gut health.

What flavours come in the Shredded Chicken & Fish Wet Cat Food in Broth Tins?

This variety pack features three irresistible blends: Chicken, Tuna, and Tuna with Salmon. Each serving is made from 100% shredded meat or fish, gently poached in a rich, savoury broth, and topped with a delicious twist to keep mealtimes exciting and full of flavour.
