Good Food Shouldn’t Cost The Earth
I mean, what’s the point?! If we all eat well at the expense of our precious planet, we won’t be here for long anyway. At Scrumbles, we aim to have a net positive impact on the planet. And that means giving back more than we consume and leaving things better than we find them.
The nature of serving great food to cats and dogs across the country means it’s inevitable that we have a carbon footprint. But we make conscious decisions to tread lightly – from manufacturing locally, to choosing packaging materials that are earth-friendly. All whilst avoiding compromising on the quality of the food. We’re continually assessing ways to limit our impact.
We’re proud to support local businesses. Wherever possible we choose to use local suppliers, not only to help the local economy but to tread lightly on our planet. Fewer food miles, cuts down fuel consumption and air pollution.
We’re a proud B Corp committed to using business as a force for good. We’re continually exploring ways to be better and give back to the communities we serve. We’re proud to pay all our contractors and employees the living wage and commit a minimum of 3 days of our time to support charitable causes. We also work with a number of animal charities like All Dogs Matter donating food and funds to help reach more vulnerable animals.
Smudge & Boo are chief tasters and naturally all our recipes have their stamp of approval. We enlist the help of trusted friends, family, vets and Scrumbles customers to get wider feedback and work with expert nutritionists to adhere to FEDIAF guidelines. So you can trust that we only use the best ingredients & equipment to produce quality food for your loved ones.
