Great question! These are gut-friendly ingredients we use to enrich our dry food recipes and support your pet’s gut health, which plays a big role in their digestion, immunity, and overall wellbeing. Prebiotics are the fibre that feed the good bacteria already living in your pet’s gut, like Slippery Elm and Inulin. Probiotics are the live, friendly bacteria themselves, which help to balance the gut microbiome and crowd out bad bacteria. We use the probiotic Enterococcus Faecium, known for its poop-perfecting qualities.

Yes! Our Salmon Dry Dog Food is suitable for dogs of all breeds and sizes including larger breeds such as golden retrievers and german shepherds. It’s made with omega-rich salmon and white fish, which is gentle on sensitive tummies, and contains added glucosamine and chondroitin to support joint health. This is something especially important for bigger dogs who can put more strain on their joints. We've also designed this recipe with a larger kibble size to suit medium to large breeds, helping to encourage chewing. It’s also a great option for large breed puppies, who develop more slowly and benefit from controlled calories and joint support during their extended growth phase.

If your dog has pancreatitis, you might be advised by your vet to seek a recipe that is low in fat to help reduce strain on the pancreas. Our Salmon Dry Dog Food contains 9% fat, which is considered low compared to many standard recipes and may be suitable for dogs with mild to moderate pancreatitis. That said, suitability can vary depending on your dog’s individual needs and your vet’s recommended fat threshold, especially in more severe cases. We always recommend consulting your vet before making any dietary changes for dogs with pancreatitis.

Yes! Our Salmon Dry Dog Food is completely chicken-free and poultry-free, making it a great choice for dogs with chicken allergies or sensitivities. We use responsibly sourced salmon and white fish, offering a delicious, hypoallergenic alternative that’s gentle on sensitive tummies. It’s packed with natural ingredients, gut-friendly prebiotics and probiotics, and absolutely no added nonsense - just clean, functional nutrition your dog can thrive on.

Our salmon dry dog food kibble is larger, measuring roughly 17.5mm in diameter and 6mm deep. If you're looking for something a little smaller you could try our turkey recipe which is 12mm in diameter or our chicken recipe which is 10mm. Our Puppy & Toy breed recipe is our smallest kibble for dogs at just 7.5mm diameter and 5mm deep.

Our recipes are made with minimally processed, natural ingredients. Because we use natural ingredients and avoid over-processing, you might notice slight variations in size, texture, and smell from batch to batch - this is totally normal! Occasionally, you may also come across small oat fibres, small bone fragments, or visible pieces of carrots and other ingredients. Rest assured, these are perfectly safe for your furry friends and are part of what makes Scrumbles both tasty and wholesome for them. If you have any queries, don’t hesitate to drop us a message.

Once you have opened a bag of our dry cat or dog food, we advise that you use it within 3 months. Make sure to reseal the bag to maintain freshness and nutritional quality. Store in a cool, dry place and always check the best-before date on the bag. Even better, decant it into an airtight container for peak crunch-preserving power.

Absolutely! All our dry dog food recipes are complete and balanced, so you can mix and match with other complete flavours to keep mealtimes exciting. Switching between recipes should be okay for most pets, just introduce new flavours gradually if your pooch has a particularly sensitive tum.

Every pet is different, so we offer both grain-free and gluten-free recipes to suit different dietary needs. Grain-free options avoid all grains completely, making them ideal for pets with grain sensitivities. Our gluten-free recipes include gentle, non-wheat grains like rice, which can provide slow-release energy for other floofs.
